This speech was followed by claims that people of faith have, loved, and certainly will be defended by God. Thus, "how much longer" This is a strong warning that they should not linger sinned against God and His people.
Meditation: In distress, the believer should not feel cornered, but could be a winner in the Lord.

Jesus' Sermon on the salt and light of the world basically emphasize that Christians can not live as an exclusive society. Christians should blend in with society because only Christians can be salt and light of the world. What does it mean?
Salt has several benefits: as a food seasoning, as a fertilizer, and most importantly, as a food preservative because salt can slow decay. That picture of the role of Christians in society. Christians are called to be in a world of moral disinfectant moral standard is very low, always changing, even none at all. But if Christians can lose their effectiveness as salt loses its saltiness? Indeed salt can not lose its saltiness, but Jesus' time salt is produced from sea water evaporated, but from a swamp, so much dirt. When salt dissolves, leaving behind the dirt. Only the presence of Christians who are able to represent three of the above in society and Christians have to transmit it wherever they are (paragraph 15). How? Christians must show that any form of behavior in accordance with the will of God, even as a result of persecution invite him (verses 10-12). That way people will be made aware of how wrong they are.
Meditation: God's kingdom norms adopted in the lives of His will generate a powerful witnesses like you. Salt prevents putrefaction and warned Christians not to compromise with the world. The light serves to illuminate the dark world and warned Christians not to withdraw from the world, so as to bring people to the glory of the Father in heaven.
