"Elijah prayed, and the heavens gave rain." (Reading I: 1 Kings 18: 41-46)
18:41 Once, in Mount Carmel, Elijah said to Ahab: Then Elijah said to Ahab, "Go, eat and drink, for the sound of a heavy rainstorm can be heard." 18:42 So Ahab went up to eat and drink. But Elijah climbed to the top of Carmel, and he bowed to the ground and put his face between his knees. 18:43 He said kepadabujangnya: "Go up now, look toward the sea." So he went up, looked, and said: "No matter what's up." Elijah said, "Go again." So until seven times. 18:44 The seventh time the servant said, "Look, a small cloud of hand rising from the sea." Elijah said, "Go and tell Ahab, 'Hitch up the chariots and go down, lest the rain stops you." 18:45 and in an instant the sky grew black with clouds and wind, and a heavy turunlahhujan. Ahab rode and went to Jezreel. 18:46 But the LORD was on Elijah. He tied his belt and ran before Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel.

Gospel: Matthew 5: 20-26
"Whoever is angry with his brother, shall be punished."
5:20 In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus said, "If your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the religious scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of Heaven. 5:21 You have heard that it was said to your ancestors: You shall not kill; whoever murders will be punished. 5:22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother; who said to the brother will must be brought before the council, and whoever says' Fool! shall be in danger of hell fire. 5:23 So then, if you bring your gift to the altar and there remember that your brother against you, 5:24 leave your gift there before the altar and first go and make peace with your brother, and then come back and present your gift. 5:25 Agree with your accuser while you along with him on the way, so that the accusers do not hand you over to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison. 5:26 I tell you the truth, you will never get out of there until you have paid the last penny.
reflection:
Elia was given authority as a prophet of God to tell the terrible power of God through the word he had said in front of all Israel and in front of the prophets of Baal and Asherah prophets. He said "... Lord God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel, today let it be known that you are God in Israel and that I am your servant and thy word I do all things. Answer me, O Lord, that this people may know that thou art the Lord God, and that thou hast turned their heart back. "(1Raj.18: 36-37). Believe that God's Word would happen and it has the power we receive when we believe in the Lord Jesus. For the word of God is living and powerful over everything. 2 Corinthians 4:13 says: "But because we have the same spirit of faith, as it is written," I believed, therefore I spoke, "we also believe, therefore we also speak." (Yos.1 : 8; Phil 4: 9). Our task now practice what we have received from the Lord Jesus deals with God's Word in everyday life. Believe and be sure there will be a miracle and a change in the life of our faith in God and our Father in Heaven glorify your name through the witness of our lives. Halleluyah!
Psalms, blessings abound.
Thanks to the abundance God has provided for the people who live in harmony with Him. He knows exactly what people need in their entirety. Note the elements thanks to it:
Mental and Spiritual. Can be mentally right against God, against property, against promises, and vows, is a blessing of God. Forgiveness of sins (verse 5). strong feelings for God's protection is assured thanks in part to the spiritual. How often people wealthy enough, but never have enough. Christ said, "Not by bread alone shall man live, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God".
God crowns the years of the life of people believe in kindness. Padang dried to yield. Pastures full of cattle. Valleys produce bread. This is all well and because of abundant irrigation, etc. Good social relationships, harmony is created, because the fear of God. Association of believers with others to be compatible. Cheers rang out and people sang ria. Is not God raises people healthy physically and socially to help people in need?
Consider: Is there anything more precious than God who crowns our days?
Today's Gospel, Christ cons Pharisees, not counter the law.
The purpose of Jesus' coming is not to overturn the law but fulfilled according to the nature and spirit of the deepest. Instead of the scribes and Pharisees were concerned with outward things that set the law. As a result they do not really appreciate the honor of God and man. Jesus rejected the behavior and the wrong interpretation. God's law was given so that the quality of human life, and uplifted humanity, not vice versa.
Christ rounding-law. History proves Israel can man do to obey God. Christ came to redeem mankind from sin and restore humanity. Life, teachings and redemptive work of Christ is the fulfillment of the law. Only Christ can free people to live righteously before God and a right relationship with fellow human beings. He is able to produce people who live more true because of God's will appreciate the updated his heart (verses 21-26).
Meditation: God's gift of eternal life will make us fulfill the eternal laws of God.
PRAYER: Lord Jesus, we thank you thankful that you have put your spirit within each of us and to give us the gifts of repentance and reconciliation, wisdom, courage and strength. By thy Holy Spirit, mampukanlah us to achieve peace with our brothers and sisters. Lord, teach us to love as you have loved. Amen.
