Daily Devotional Christian - This story also we can make as a sermon illustration. Story illustration of nails. At one point, there was a boy who is grumpy. To reduce the habit of upset the boy, his father gave him a bag of
nails and told his daughter to nail a nail in the fence behind the
house, whenever he was angry.
On the first day, the boy has nailed 48 nails in the fence whenever he was angry. But the next day the number of nails that he nailed the wane. From this he took the lessons that rage is easier than nailing nails into the fence.
Finally, the boy believes that he can mengontol temper and patience is not easily lost. He told this to his father and then his father told him to pull out the nails every day, namely when he was not angry.
The days passed, the boy told his father that all the nails he had been nailed in the fence he pull. And then he led the child to see the fence.
His father said, you did well my son. But look at the holes in the fence. However this fence will not be able to return as before. When you say something to others with anger, your words will leave a mark in the hearts of others. You can be a knife at someone and pull it back. No matter how many times you apologize that wound will still be there. And injuries because of the words, as bad as a physical wound. Be careful with words and anger not to hurt other people.
