Who's your Count in This Life?

"Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord!" Jeremiah 17: 7
If you want God's blessings poured out in your relationship with your loved ones, be blessed in their work and careers, in study, finances and health, then you should humbly mengadalkan God in every aspect of your life and do not lean in yourself* Courtesy of PelitaHidup.comBut, how do we do it? How do we know that we are truly relying on God in our lives?
Here are 5 ways to rely on God as well as a practical way to evaluate ourselves on God rely on each of these aspects:

Rely on God's wisdom
Are we constantly talk about God and read the Bible every day? If not, this means that we rely on our own ingenuity than the wisdom of God. We must put Him first in every decision we make.

Relying on the strength and power of the Lord
Do we walk in strength and power every day? Do others see God's power and strength radiating from our lives?

Rely on God's timing
How patiently or impatiently ourselves in waiting for something? What we tend to do things in accordance with the will and our will; Or do we patiently await God according to His timing?

Participation mengadalkan God
When someone on social media saying bad things about us, whether we directly respond? When someone says things that are not true about ourselves, if we turn around and get back what he's doing?

Rely on God's Protection
Where is the source of our sense of security? Do we always feel anxious and afraid because it always feels less and never enough? Or, we rely on God to meet all our needs, whether physical, emotional and spiritual?
How are you on every aspect of it? In the area where you feel the pressure to make the toughest so you can not rely on God? Let us take time to recognize our shortcomings and weaknesses in the presence of God. Ask God to help you so that you can believe and fully trust Him in every aspect of your life while continuing to learn to rely on the wisdom, power and strength, timing, participation, and His protection in your life.

"Blessed is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the Lord his God" Psalm 146: 5

Can We Forgiven?

"But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God." I Corinthians 6: 11b

Reading: I Corinthians 6: 9-11

* Courtesy of PelitaHidup.comIf you always feel guilty of sin and past mistakes, know that the Bible has a guarantee for you on this point. Believers in Corinth will also fight the same thing at that time. The Apostle Paul gives advice and hope to them - and us - that: "And some of you used to be. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God. "(I Corinthians 6:11)
In the preceding verses, the Apostle Paul writes a list of reprehensible lifestyle that continues to be done by human beings until the end of the modern era. Each week, ministers heard from parishioners who asked whether God forgive them for life in homosexuality, infidelity, handily against a family at home, especially against a life partner or make some other mistake. The answer is "YES", God will forgive you and me. Based says in I John 1: 9, God can and will forgive the sins of believers.
"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." I John 1: 9

As believers, we will continue to feel a sense of guilt and bear it until we really understand how God forgives and removes our sins and errors. If we do not understand this, then all the promises and our desire to change and become a better person to be in vain.
Forgiveness is based on the sacrifice of Christ on the cross. He bore the sins and mistakes you and I and died in our place. When we really understand that only Christ who can justify us before God the Father, that's when we are free. We are given a new mindset, a mindset that is guided by the Holy Spirit to focus our attention to God and not to the desires of our worldly.* Courtesy of PelitaHidup.comDo you wake up each morning only to face the day in which you continue to take all the guilt you throughout the day? You do not have to happen that way. God is waiting for you to deliver the loads to Him and He will remove all of the load away from you. All you have to do is hand over the burden to Him and receive His forgiveness.

Note Speeches and your word!

"Watch my lips, O Lord, watch over the door of my lips!" Psalm 141: 3
Reading: 2 Timothy 2: 23-26; 3: 1-5* Courtesy of PelitaHidup.comGossip is often regarded as a kind of entertainment that is not dangerous or harmful, especially when compared with the "big sins" such as murder or betrayed by cheating spouse. Satan had imparted to man that gossiping is something not disadvantage or harm; but if we analyze more deeply about the lies that Satan offers us on this point, then we will find a bad facts about gossiping and talking nonsense. In the Bible, God calls gossip as one of the most depraved sin.
"And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them over to thoughts of the damned, so that they do what ought not filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, covetousness, malice; full of envy, murder, strife , deceit, hostility. They are slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, without understanding, disloyal, not caring, not mercy. "Romans 1: 28-31
We must realize that gossip is something very dangerous and harmful. Whether we deliberately say something bad about someone else or just convey our thoughts are not necessarily true, we can embarrass the individual concerned, or even hurt his feelings.

There is someone trying to trace back the source of gossip and slanted news about her. He asked each person the following question, "Where did you hear the news?" After he spoke with seventeen God, he finally found the source of personal or gossip about the slanted news about him. The rumor-mongers admit that he speak only based on speculation about a problem that does not really know it. Note that, a destructive chain reaction starts only from someone who conclude something wrong when talking with others.
Although the victim did not know about all the conversations going on behind the slanted news about him, rumors continue to have consequences. Those who gossip shows exactly what is in your hearts and think about them.* Courtesy of PelitaHidup.com"Because of the abundance of the heart the mouth. "Matthew 12: 34b

Tongue that produce vile words flow out with jealousy, revenge, and the pride that dwells in the heart of the person.* Courtesy of PelitaHidup.comGossip has the power to hurt the feelings of others, destroy someone's reputation, undermine the friendly relations and divide the church. We have no right to bring such devastation to the lives of others. We must realize that only God, the only One place we turn when we hear a rumor or news about someone other oblique. Those who are experiencing hard times and trials in life, more in need of prayers and our love of talk-talk and gossip about the struggles and misfortunes they experienced.
"Bear one another's burdens And so fulfill the law of Christ. "Galatians 6: 2
So, starting today, let us learn to be prudent with every speech and words out of our mouths.

Reading I: 2 Tim 2: 8-15 "The Word of God is not imprisoned. If we died with him, we shall also live with him. "

2: 8 Beloved, remember this: Jesus Christ, a descendant of David, who had risen from the dead, that's what my gospel. 2: 9 for which I suffer evangelization, even chained like a criminal, but the word of God is not imprisoned. 2 "10 Therefore I endure all things for the elect of God, that they also may obtain salvation in Christ Jesus with eternal glory. 2:11 the word is true: "If we died with Christ, we shall also live with him. 2:12 If we suffer, we shall also reign with him. If we deny Him, He also will deny us. 2:13 If we are faithless, he remains faithful, for He can not deny Himself. "Remind 2:14 and pesankanlah with really all that to them before the Lord. Thus they will not be disputes about words, which is totally useless, but even confuse those who hear it. 2:15 Endeavor to show thyself approved unto God, a workman who does not need to be ashamed, to proclaim the word of truth plainly.
Psalms 25: 4BC-5ab, 8-9,10,14
Chorus: Lord, show halls thy.
* Tell your streets, O Lord, show halls thy. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me.
* God is good and true, why he teach sinners in the way. He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them His way people casually.
* All the ways of the Lord are mercy and truth to those who keep his covenant and his testimonies. God's intimate friendship with those who fear Him, and His covenant He tell them.
Gospel: Mark 12: 28b-34
"This is the first commandment. And the second is the same as the first. "
12: 28b One day a scribe came to Jesus and asked, "Which commandment is the most important?" 12:29 Jesus replied, "The key is, 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God is one God! 12 "30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. 12:31 And the second is: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment more important than these two commandments. "12:32 Then the scribes said to Jesus," Teacher, precisely what you promised you that He is one, and there is no other God but Him. 12:33 And to love him with all your heart, with all your mind, and with all your strength and love your neighbor as oneself, is much more important than all burnt offerings and offerings. "12:34 When Jesus noticed how wise his answer. And he said to him, "You are not far from the kingdom of God." And no one has dared to question him.
reflection:
Central message of the gospel is Jesus Christ.
In this passage, Paul seems to have been aware of one important thing, which is Christ, the gospel is forgotten! It appears that Paul in verse 8, "Remember Jesus Christ ...." Paul reminded Timothy that his preaching in the service center forward the baton of the Gospel message is Christ. He was incarnate, died, and rose to the believer must continue to work and echoed his existence to everyone.
Indeed, for all the consequences or the price paid, which is willing to sacrifice and to suffer. Paul exemplifies the life experiences that have suffered because of continued service and make Christ the center of his preaching (verse 9-10). But all the suffering was not able to prevent the spirit of Paul's preaching the gospel because she believed that Christ stood before him (Heb. 4: 16-17). It is precisely in suffering that it is not only more aware of the meaning selected as the chosen people, but also the sense of united with Christ. Paul believe one thing: namely, that those who were subjected to the Gospel message was saved by Christ. An extraordinary confidence, which should also be the belief of all believers.
Many Christians today, including pastors, have no confidence as Paul had. First, they preach about Christ, but his attitude to life and his personality does not reflect the presence of Christ. Second, it has the ability to preach and collect mass until finally the gospel is no longer centered on Christ, but self-centered. Arrogance and pride seal for Christ otherwise. Third, the claim to believe, but do not have the courage to pass the baton of the gospel for fear of suffering. Christ incarnate, died, and rose for His people that have been forgotten.
Learn from his experience, he found that there were ministers who have corrupted the Gospel, such as Hymenaeus and Philetus (paragraph 17.18). For Paul, the likes of which they have to watch out because it teaches lessons that deviate from the truth of Christ, which could make the church shaken his faith. Therefore, Paul explicitly warned Timothy to continue the baton of the gospel to those who have met the qualification standards: dare to speak the truth about Christ, honest, responsible, and faithful to the Word of God.
From this passage we learn that the only one who has passed the test kelauakan (fit and proper test), given by God alone is worthy of being the successor to the baton of the Gospel message. Because they are servants of God that emphasizes holiness, have pure hearts, admirable Christian virtues, and tested. It is time for shareholders baton of the Gospel, the Lord's servants introspection and ask God, "What me has met the eligibility standard that God has set!"
Psalms, Kick magic of God.
Life on earth in Indonesia was more difficult for Christians. The difficulty was not only due to discrimination which is still in effect even though unofficially, pressure from various parties, and the difficulty of maintaining the Christian principles in their daily lives. In order to defend the principles of the Christian faith, not a few Christians who have to pay dearly for failure even collapse, so getting ribbing from friends and his brothers.
A similar thing happened to David, who defended the principle of a self-righteousness, he shall suffer persecution from many people (16, 19). Oppression suffered physical and mental suffering caused tremendous (17, 18) for all his enemies dominated by the bitter hatred. This is a general truth that applies throughout the world and throughout the ages, that is people who defend the truth will be hated by those who love crime. So terrible stress and suffering that he had endured until he was dragged into sin (18). These conditions can not be underestimated, for it is not only his life will be destroyed, but it can also continue to be dragged into further sin. How did David respond to and deal with it?
It is still waiting and hoping to God (2, 21) and do not turn away any other gods (15), because he believed that only God who can give the stances specific to confront all oppression, challenges, and suffering without sin. It is not just asking God to let him walk (4) but also lead and teach His ways. This means that it does not want half measures to understand and carry out his will because that's the only stance to face an increasingly hostile world. David is sure to get it all from God because He is the God of truth and full of grace, well, want to hang out, and guide his people (6- 21).
Meditation: The Christian will still be able to defend the principles of the Christian faith, whatever the challenges faced and the suffering, if Christians always have hope and learn 'moves magic' of God found in His Word.
Gospel today, Love
The Jewish leaders apparently still not satisfied test Jesus. This time, the scribes and the Sadducees were talking with him. Their discussion topic this time is \ 'command which mainly \'. With that topic, they wanted to test him to see if he respects the law of Moses. More than what they expected, said the law defines it in its essence: love God with all that you have and love my neighbor as myself (verse 30-31). Jesus' response is interesting. Although asked to give a law that is considered the largest, he said the two laws. Why? Because loving others is an act that would appear when people love God. These two laws are complementary. We can not do one without the other meet. Law that summarize the law written on two stone tablets Moses received. It states the obligation of man to God and responsibility for others.
You are important to the underlying relationship. We can only obey the word of God without love him. However, such compliance is empty. Conversely, if we love Him, we will obey Him. In addition we should love our neighbor as ourselves. The ability to love others rely on the understanding that God loves them also. For example if someone makes us angry, what we will be revenge? If yes, then they are the underlying attitudes of our actions is not the word of God. So what we should not care about other people's behavior? No. The Bible teaches us how to deal with others and deal with the feeling of hurt. But God's solution is designed to bring about reconciliation and spiritual growth. Not for revenge or control others. Remember that every person is precious in God's eyes. Normalization of relations means respect for God and it manifests in our attitude toward others as God's creation.
People of the Book appreciate Jesus' answer. He saw how Jesus combines two commands given to Israel. It also listen to the answer of Jesus more than what is said. He heard in it an echo of the prophets, explaining that love is much more important than burnt offerings and offerings. That's what God requires of all people, love of God and neighbor. He also admired the lawyer. It is not far from the kingdom of God. What about the appreciation of our love?
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, if I am at the moment to say that I love you, but I hate my brother, then I am a liar. Because if I do not love my brother a look that's no good for me to love him who is invisible (1 John 4:20). Let your Spirit moves my heart to love you and to love thy neighbor true. Especially at this time of Lent, help me to be more like my Master - Jesus Christ - so that they can see live my faith as a relationship, not just a job. Amen.

Reading I: Ezekiel 34: 11-16 "I myself will feed my sheep and I will make them lie down in peace."

34:11 Thus saith the Lord, "Look, I myself will notice my sheep and will seek it. 34:12 As a shepherd seeks out his flock when the sheep of the flock scattered, so I will seek my sheep, and I will save them from all the places, where they scattered on a cloudy and dark day. 34:13 I will bring them out from the nations and gather them from the countries and bring them into their own land; I will feed them upon the mountains of Israel, in the rivers and in all the inhabited places of the land. 34:14 In a good pasture, and I'll feed them on the mountains of Israel, that's where the high pasture; there in a good pasture, and they will lay lush grass to feed upon the mountains of Israel. 34:15 I will feed my sheep and I will make them lie down, saith the Lord God. 34:16 lost I will seek the lost will bring back, and will bind up, the sick I will strengthen, and the fat and the strong I will destroy; I will feed them as I should.

Reading I: Kings 17: 17-24 "It is, your son is alive!"

17:17 It happened, son of a widow in Zarephath that entertained Elijah fell ill. The pain is severe, until the boy was not breathing anymore. 17:18 And the woman said to Elijah, "What do you mean coming here, so I'm God? Are you calling me to remind me of my mistakes and to make my child die? "17:19 Elijah said to him," Give me your son! "Elijah took the boy from his mother's arms, and carried him to the upper room, and laid him in his bed. 17:20 Then Elijah cried out to the Lord, "My God, my God! The widow received me as a passenger in his house. Have you brought tragedy upon her by killing her son? "17:21 Elijah stretch himself out on the child three times, and cried out to God," Lord, my God! Let this child's life return to him! "17:22 God heard the voice of Elijah, and the soul of the child returned into him, and he revived. 17:23 Elijah took the boy, brought him down from the upper room and gave it to her mother. Elijah told her, "This is your son is alive!" 17:24 And the woman said to Elijah, "Now I know that thou art a man of God, and the word of the Lord in thy mouth is true."
Psalm 30: 2.4.5-6.11.12a.13b
Chorus: I will praise thy name, O God, for ever and ever.
* I will praise you, O Lord, for you lifted me up, and did not let my enemies rejoice over me. Lord, You lifted me out of Sheol, You turn me among those who go down to the pit.
* Sing unto the Lord, O ye who are loved by Him, and give thanks to his holy name! For just a moment his anger, but a lifetime generous; sorrow during the night, in the morning there is joy.
* Hear, Lord, and have mercy on me. Lord, be my helper! I mourn Kauubah be dancing. God, my God, forever I will praise thee.

Reading II: Gal 1: 11-19

"He was pleased to reveal his Son in me so that I might preach him among the Gentiles."
1:11 Brethren, I certify you, that the gospel I preached is not human Gospel. 1:12 I receive is not from man; not a man who taught it, but I received it by revelation of Jesus Christ. 1:13 For you have heard of my life formerly in Judaism: Without measure I persecuted the church of God and trying to destroy it. 1:14 In the Jewish religion that I was far more advanced than many contemporaries in my nation, as I was very zealous for the traditions of my fathers. 1:15 But God chose me aware of my mother's womb and called me by his grace. 1:16 He was pleased to reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the Gentiles. At that time I did not ask for a moment of consideration to humans. 1:17 I do not go to Jerusalem to see those who were apostles before me. But I went into Arabia, and returned again to Damascus. 1:18 Just three years later, I went to Jerusalem to meet Cephas, and stayed with him fifteen days at his home. 1:19 But other of the apostles, I saw none, save James the Lord's brother.
Gospel reading: Luke 7: 11-17
"O Youth, I say to you, get up!"
7:11 It happened, Jesus went to a town called Nain. The disciples and many people went with him. 7:12 As he approached the town gate, a dead person was being carried out, the son of a single mother who was a widow. Many of the town was with her. 7:13 Seeing her, he had compassion for God's compassion. Then the Lord said to him, "Do not cry!" 7:14 He approached the bier and touched him. Then the bearers stopped. God said, "Young man, I say to you, Arise!" 7:15 So the young man got up, sat down, and began to speak. Then he handed it to her mother. 7:16 Fear seized them all, and they glorified God, saying, "A great prophet has arisen among us!" Others said, "God has visited His people!" 7:17 So the news about Jesus in all Judea and all the surrounding country.

reflection
"God listened to Elijah's prayer, and the boy's life returned to him, and he revived." 1 Kings 17:22
After experiencing God's help and maintenance miraculously, the widow of Zarephath back face increasingly severe test that is her only child got sick, "... illness was so severe until no breath again." (1 Kings 17:17). He must have lost a child at the center of love and hope. The turmoil in his soul so that he blames Elijah and said, "What do you mean come hither, O man of God? Did you come to sin and kill my son? "(1 Kings 17:18). Elijah really in a very difficult situation at that time. On the other hand he was grateful to the Lord brought me to a wonderful experience at the edge of the brook Cherith, but we are in the middle of the widow of Zarephath it is touted as the cause of the tragedy in the family, for children only die when Elijah to live with it.
But Elijah did not retreat or flee from families who are disappointed and blame it. It leads to the question of the weight of the Lord and said, " 'Give me your son.' Then he called out to the Lord, he said: 'O Lord, my God! Do you also bringing disaster on this widow with whom I sojourn, by slaying her son? ' "(1 Kings 17: 19a, 20). Finally, God answers prayer Elijah said, the boy was alive. Extraordinary! The experience of Elijah and the widow of Zarephath faith grew. The widow of Zarephath was not only felt the hand of God, it is also increasingly recognize the power and truth of the Lord God of Israel, and Elijah as his servant. "Now I know that thou art a man of God, and the Lord thy mouth is truth." (1 Kings 17 : 24).
Through the experience of faith of Elijah and the widow of Zarephath, we can see that God's ways are always surprising and magical! Sometimes He allows masaah and tests happening in our lives in order to train the muscles of our faith so strong! Although sometimes His ways incomprehensible by us, all of it good for us.
"As the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways higher than your ways, and my plans." (Isaiah 55: 9)
Psalms, Joy also suffered.
In the Jewish tradition, psalm is used in the feast of the Dedication of the Temple (1 bdk.Yoh 10:22) where that day Jews commemorate the dedication of the temple after it was destroyed by their enemies in the 2nd century B.C. This psalm important means for pushing Christian community. But to note is that even though the psalms of thanksgiving was sung jointly by the people of God, the psalm of David comes from personal experience. Therefore, to get the deep meaning of this psalm for Christian living in a community, we need to ponder.
This psalm was written by David in his old age, when he finished counting all of its troops and then Allah punish him (2 Sam 24). In this psalm there is an indication that David had suffered a heavy both personally and with all his people (2-6) after just enjoy the peace and pleasure in life (7). Thanks to that it offers a sense of peace and confidence that is too large. It begins arrogant Allah punish him wake up. This event is said that when a person has an abundance of God's blessings in the field of life, usually it is tested in other fields. Rejoicing in hope should be coupled with experience will not cause suffering to sin in one's life. When he realized his mistake (8b), David immediately repented, then God's forgiveness, and restoration of immediately experienced (6, 12). True repentance that followed the recovery will bring praise to God (5-6, 13).
Ponder: Life Church of God in Indonesia on the one hand was experiencing the abundant blessings of the unusual, but at the same time the church also suffered some destruction and suffering such as the bombing of churches lately. We need to ponder and reflect on the events in the light of the psalm we are today. This should be done so that we can take appropriate action, so that in the end we can still praise and glorify God, even to invite everyone to praise him.
The second reading, a true evangelist
There are people who love to wear fashionable costume jewelry. There are also other people who love to imitate famous figures. Such people are usually familiar figure seeming merely imitated, it means he does not know the motivation and the fact that he played the character of behavior. Paul was not such a person. He became an evangelist, not by imitating the apostles predecessor.
Paul knew his hard word in this passage should be supported with apostolic authority. And it has been confirmed since the beginning that he was a prophet and an evangelist, not because of the will of man, but by the will of God (verse 1). Now it is confirmed that the source of his Gospel not from men, but from God himself through the revelation of Jesus Christ (verses 11-12). Life history proves two things. First, it used to be a devout Jew who once persecuted the church of God. However, God chose him from the beginning, directly assigned him to preach the gospel to the Gentile nations (verses 13-16). Second, Paul learned to live the gospel of God in Arabic, before he met with the Apostles Peter and church leaders in Jerusalem, James (verses 17-19). Third, Paul's ministry in all regions of Syria and Cilicia echoed up to the church in Judea, so that they glorify God (verses 21-24).
Personal meeting with God that changed Paul from a persecutor of the church to be true evangelists. We also have to be. Do not rely on and emulate the leaders of the church or the evangelist alone. We can emulate the good things from them, but these things can not replace our personal relationship with God in prayer and the Word.
Meditation: The effectiveness of preaching does not rely on the power of words, but on the authority of God in the gospel and in his life that has changed.
Gospel today, Concern for the Small and Poor.
How far do we heed the accident? Are we aware ignoring the plight of others? There are so many people who really need help now. Not just about the material, not necessarily about hunger, but also the so-called Mother Teresa a "real poverty" are people who unconsciously, unloved, even tidakdiinginkan.
Lesson from Luke 17: 11-7; Jesus did not underestimate the suffering of anyone. He performed miracles to every person of a different background, whether that person is Jewish or not, friend or not, know it or not, and so on. Jesus moved by compassion and care.
Regardless, through the Word of God we are often given the understanding that self-aware of our limitations as human beings and we need people around us. But the Word of God less frequently or not at all "scraping away" and lead us to change. But we are more difficult when faced with death ?? dealing with people we love. We often can not, do not accept, even hysterical when family members die so suddenly.
In Lk. 7: 11-17, we can see about a widow in the city of Nain who faced the death of his son. The widow continued to cry over her son. The cries of the widow's essentially want to express unwillingness to lose her only son owned subsidiary. The meaning of death refers to the inability of a person to part with those that they love. They are aware have lost their loved ones forever, but if there might be a spirit and beyond what they think? In Lk. 7:13 says that when Jesus saw the sadness and tears of the widows, it is stated: moved with compassion Jesus by ??. Then Jesus approached and touched the bier coffin corpse and said: Young man, I say unto thee, Arise! ?? (Lk. 7:14). The word of the Lord Jesus, the young boy who was dead is alive again.
Miracles that occurred in the city of Nain in essence based on compassion and concern the Lord Jesus to her. We must understand that Christ works miracles in essence a form of a sense of caring and compassion to his suffering people. In principle, the actions of Jesus is sympathy for the suffering of others, expressed the desire to help. That's why every time you mention "moved" the heart of Jesus by compassion ?? then there is a real action of the Lord Jesus as a response.
In Lk. 7:16 the crowd saw that Jesus works miracles God can awaken the youth Nain provide a response. Soon they glorified God, saying: A great prophet has appeared among us, and God has visited His people ??.
This brings an important impact in the life of our faith, that every believer who has known the love of God should be marked by a sense of love and caring attitude, so that every believer is willing to take part in the work of salvation God to help others. Is not it time we are surrounded by people who care and love us, then we will be strengthened in the face of grief since abandoned by those we love.
Attitudes to love and care in fact born from the heart to love others unconditionally., Created by private jets that have been able to get out of ego. When our lives are based on the defense-sense Christ, then surely we have celebrated life with glorify the name of God.
Jesus was willing to be persecuted and died on the cross to redeem all people. Confers a security, a rapprochement with God to all people, regardless of whether the person is a good person or not, whoever they are. Christ died for everyone, including them, you and me. (2 Corinthians 5:15). That form of the love of Christ that is truly extraordinary. As believers in Christ, is not strange if we did not reflect the love of Christ, at least a little of the love of Christ if we have not been able to fully reflect? Jesus gave important examples of how we should behave towards others in distress.
We asked to be able to achieve a level to not only love others as we love ourselves, but much more like how Jesus loved us. And one of you will be seen from our desire to help others. A loving heart will be restless when he saw someone who needed help, and will be filled with joy when they can do something to help them. Not for a nominal amount or percentage of time we devote to help, but the seriousness and sincerity of the love of Jesus living in us.
"A kind loving heart will still empathize when I saw people who needed help. A little help from us can mean big for them, and it is valuable in the eyes of God. "
PRAYER: God's Holy Spirit, help me to always be open to your work in the world today as well. Give me the faith to be able to see the miracles you did. Help me to be able to respond with pure amazement that comes from my heart. Amen.

Reading I: 1 Kings 17: 1-6 "Elijah serve the Lord, the God of Israel."

17: 1 Once, Elijah the Tishbite, of Tishbe in Gilead, said to Ahab, "As the LORD lives, the God of Israel, whom I serve, there will be no dew nor rain these years, except at my word." 17: 2 Then the Lord said to Elijah, 17: 3 "Go away, eastward, and hide by the brook Cherith to the east of the Jordan river. 17: 4 You can drink from the brook, and the ravens I have commanded to feed you there. "17: 5 So he went and did as our Lord said. He went and dwelt by the brook Cherith to the east of the Jordan River. 17: 6 In the morning and evening ravens brought him bread and meat, and he drank from the brook.
Psalm 121: 1-2.3-4.5-6.7-8
Refren: Only you are God my God and hope for my life.
* I lift up my eyes to the mountains; whence will come help me? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
* He will not allow your foot to slip, will not slumber. Really, would not sleep and would not sleep that keepeth Israel.
* Lord your guardian, the Lord is your shade at your right hand. The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.
* The Lord will keep you from all harm; He shall preserve thy soul. God will keep out incomings and now until forever.
Gospel: Matthew 5: 1-12
"Blessed are the poor in spirit."
5: 1 One day Jesus went up the mountain, for the crowd. After he sat down, his disciples came unto Him. 5: 2 And he began to speak and convey these teachings to them, 5: 3 "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 5: 4 Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. 5: 5 Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth. 5: 6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled. 5: 7 Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy. 5: 8 Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. 5: 9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. 5:10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 5:11 Blessed are ye, when as I was criticized and persecuted you, and shall say all manner of evil. 5:12 Rejoice and be glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for the prophets before you were persecuted. "
reflection
"In the morning and evening ravens brought him bread and meat, and he drank from the brook." 1 Kings 17: 6
The name 'Elijah' means 'God is my God.' It is really significant in the life of Elijah, in which God is able to maintain his life in an extraordinary way, and Elijah also has a full ketaan to the Lord his God. About the life of Elijah, the Bible states that "Elijah was a man just like us, and he earnestly pray that not rain, and the rain did not rain on the land for three years and six months. Then he prayed again and the heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit. "(James 5: 17-18).
Elijah faced a difficult situation in his day. Moral and spiritual condition of the nation declined and really dilapidated: from kings, priests to keep alive the people and idolatry. This is because Ahab, king, accepted evil in the sight of God "... more than all who were before him" (1 Kings 16:30), under the influence of his wife, Jezebel, princess of Sidon, a pagan, "... so it goes served Baal and worshiped him. "(1 Kings 16:31). Elijah was able to keep faith, stay alive in truth, faithfully served the Lord and do not compromise the moral depravity of his people; he lived like a fish swimming against the current, not washed away. Elijah was not afraid of the political forces at the time, still dare to live with faith in God despite the risk of losing the convenience and threatened his life.
Elia courage is not foolish or desperate, but the fruit of faith in the Lord his God is living and powerful, because he knew that he worshiped God clearly outweigh the god Baal Ahab and Jezebel. This is evident when drought and famine hit the country, Elai not lack, it will live by faith because God's miraculous preservation. "" You can drink from the brook, and the ravens I have commanded to feed thee there. ' Then he went and did according to the word of the Lord; he went and dwelt by the brook Cherith on the east side of the Jordan. "(1 Kings 17: 4-5).
Because loyalty and obedience to the word of God, Elijah never lacking even in the middle of drought and famine.

Psalms, God help comes.
In a world full of challenges and threats, we need real help. The psalmist well aware of the hopelessness of themselves and others. He tried directing his gaze to the mountains, but even there he did not see a glimmer of hope. Finally, the psalmist recognizes and states unequivocally that "my help is from the Lord". Is the Almighty Creator and Guardian that never slept. Often we seek the things that seem to be able to help, but in the end we have to admit that there was no help other than in God, guarantor of our lives.
God my guardian. In case of danger, urgently needed care strictly. It is felt all around us that today many of insecurity and discomfort. Within our homes, may apply siskamling schedule to keep. It must be admitted that no one was able precautions throughout the day without a break. We tried to have a shelter that is always alert, the Guardian of Israel, our God. It is not only able to survive the danger, but actively protect his people. There are no other guards who stay awake like him.
Gospel today, Who am I?
At the end of this year, let us try introspective. If until now we still be alive and healthy, it is clear that the award and His love for us. In the ministry of Jesus, not everyone who has received His help will be students or disciples. Followers of God have a clear feature because it makes high demands and the need to transform the lives of people who respond to Him.
New life pattern. God wants His followers happy. That's for sure! But happiness is linked to the quality of people, not what he has. Happiness begins repentance, that the act of turning away from life, customs, and culture of others. Awareness of how poor we are in the presence of God, became the starting point of the next discipleship process, which goes still need to tread. The closer he gets us like Him and His attributes. Gentle rather than harsh, hungry and thirsty for truth instead of impurity, not generous or miserly greed, pure of heart, the peacemaker. That's the way to be happy, full road pricing demands, but also a way of life entirely in God's creation.
Let's ask ourselves honestly: Is that really the source of happiness? Wealth worldly possessions? Friendship humane? Position and worldly power? Social status and occupation? All forms of property or other material?
If we do not lead an honest answer to the things that are upon the earth, we can be thankful because we realize that it is true, the root and source of our happiness lies not in the things that are upon the earth. There are other sources of happiness that can be proud of us, and he has shown it to us!
Our happiness is because we rely on God, the source of our spiritual wealth. Our happiness is the consolation of his when we grieve. Our happiness is gentleness that emanate from us. Our happiness is when we are hungry and thirsty for truth. Our happiness is our generosity to others. Our happiness is the purity of our hearts. Our happiness is peace because we are children of God, even when it had to face persecution, reproach, and censure. Dare we chose this as the root of all our happiness?
O Jesus, may I prefer happiness promised by the Beatitudes your world of happiness that was promised to me. Amen.
